What are angels?

Beings made of energy that have entered the mortal world, possessing a both a driving purpose (mission) and defining Virtue.
Some angels may include free will, while others do not.
Servants of some "higher power," though what that power is remains in question.

What angels are not-

Angels do not always have the protection and nurturing of humanity as a priority. Loving and caring are human traits, not angelic.
